Hey there, Kriffix here!

A couple of friends were wondering where i've been at lately so i figured it was about time i took the plunge and created an LJ account!.

There are two reasons that i've been absent lately instead of working on my comic Mangaijin, and these are...

1. My Laptop died and it cost tons to fix! It totally cleared out the little bit of cash i had left. If something happened again at this point i'd be doomed.

2. I've been looking for a Job so that i can pay for advanced Japanese lessons for as many terms as possible before i go back to college.(Each term is about £500!) It's not cheap and i just can't seem to be able to scrape the money together! I've been searching for 2 solid weeks and am having no luck whatsoever, experience is very important in everything it seems!

Some friends have asked me, "Why bother going back to college? it was clearly never your thing". And the reasons for this is pretty simple. During my 5 months in Japan i went from scratch to an upper intermediate Japanese speaker through working hard in daily  life and such. As i result i realise that it'd be a waste not to continue with Japanese since thus far i seem to have had a good start! I'd like to do a Japanese course at SOAS University, and in order to do this i need three A's in A-level!!!  (well techinically AAB but i may aswell aim for 3!)

I've never worked particularly hard at school but this time i have something to aim for. I need to study hard to attain two A's in Art and English literature, and then take the A level test for Japanese and get an A in that.(without lessons since my school doesn't do them). The Japanese A-level seems amazingly simple judging by past papers, anyone with a "Let's learn Japanese starter kit" could do this if they  studied hard over a week or two. The Japanese A level covers Basic~lower intermediate.
I need to learn advanced Japanese in order to progress now though, so i want to take advanced classes at "ITO Japanese" in tottencourt road. However the tuitions is way beyond how much I or even my family can afford at the moment. And so i appeal to anyone who's looking to get something drawn to commission me please. Here's my Gallery on DA. It'd really mean the world to me if i could go on to study Japanese at SOAS, and i believe this is necessary to go on to do that.


What will I do now?

Well I'm going to have to try a new approach to getting money. If anyone out there would like to commission me for anything i'd highly appreciate it! If i earn a decent about i would have time to update Mangaijin ALOT more often and study towards those three A's since i wouldn't have to look for a job. Although it'd be nice to find a sunday job or something since commisions are probably not a very sturdy source of income.


Hehe well so that was my first post. I hope i done it right, i've yet to see an example one haha! Maybe it's too long...did anyone actually manage to get through it? ^__^
